The whole room + bathroom was extremely clean, and they let me have early check in. The bathroom had plenty of very hot water all day and night - the pressure was high - but the showerhead needed to be handheld. Otherwise fine. High-quality toilet-paper. There is a fridge, a desk, a good wardrobe-closet + chair. Downstairs they have a PC with a printer, in case you need to print out stuff. They also have a bar with very affordable prices (actually the beer was cheaper there, than in the kiosk at the corner). Before arrival they answered all my questions - and very fast as well. Bed was nice, good matresses, but they have these kind of greek-style covers with only a sheet under. I dont like them that much. But it was not cold, and they were not dirty. The aircon was also very efficient + they had central heating. Outside the room was a tiny balcony. I had a room that was facing the yard, rather than the street, so it was very quiet. The breakfast is great value. 7 euros for a plate + juice and coffee. The metro is literally two minutes walk away - something that proved to be great. National museum of Archeology was a ten minutes walk, and Monastiraki is also super-near. Just behind the hotel, is a very big and nice church. Otherwise you ll find all kind of shops and restaurants in the area. It is not a typical touristic area. On the opposite side of the street there were some extremely dodgy quarters, BUT if you stayed clear of these streets, it was totally fine. Directly opposite the hotel is also a police-station, which adds up to the feeling of security. At the corner of the metro there is an excellent 24-7 bakery (Attika) with great food, coffees, wine and cafe-area overlooking the square. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I felt safe and the place was orderly. For a place in this price-cathegory, this is a great deal. Before I stayed in Diros, I spent 3 nights in a four-star hotel nearby. Diros was better value for the price, to be honest.

Diros Hotel offers great value for money with its convenient location near the city center, bus station, and metro. The staff, especially Dimitri and Dimitra, are very welcoming, and the breakfast has a decent variety of food. The rooms are spacious enough to be comfortable. Overall, it’s a budget-friendly option with a few minor drawbacks that could be improved.

The location is convenient — right next to the metro and in the very center. Yes, the neighborhood isn’t the best, but we were prepared for that. In the end, it wasn’t as bad as expected. In Germany, areas near train or meteo stations are just the same — homeless people and drug users — you just don’t walk around there at night. Breakfast was included in the price and was quite decent for a 2-star hotel. Simple, but had all the basics! On our first day, we left early for an excursio and asked for lunch boxes. We were pleasantly surprised — they were actually better than what we got at a 5-star hotel earlier on our trip. City tax was included in the price, which again was positively different from our 5-star experience where we had to pay 30 euro extra. The room was clean and spacious, and we were pleasantly surprised by the balcony with a view to a fountain and the Acropolis! They even gave us an iron at the hotel! All in all, when you compare price and quality, this 2-star hotel definitely beats the 5-star one in many aspects. A great option for a couple of nights!

The front desk guy was great. Took the time to answer all my questions, taught me some Greek words.

Great value for price. Located on a metro station and a HOP ON AND OFF bus station. 15 min walk from the center of Athens 20 min walk from the Acropolis. Very Small room. Tiny bathroom. A balcony. Good hot water and a strong A/c. Simple breakfast for 7euyros. The area is not the best but still safe to walk at night. Staff very friendly and helpful. A small frige, no safe in the room. I will come again. Photos on web site are realistic except for the meeting room. It's a lot smaller and dark. But who cares ?🤣

The best quality to price ratio for the room I ever had - I really enjoyed excellent view from a very large balcony with my beers cold thanks to a fridge in a room. The bed was comfy, plenty of electricity sockets (also just by a bed), a nice desk in the room but most importantly separate chairs and a table on the balcony. Make sure you stay as much top floor as possibible, and ideally in rooms X04 (i.e. 804, 704, 604) as these have much better view of the Omonia sq. than other rooms. The best restaurant nearby is I guess Η Στοά Αλλιώς - Stoa Allios (Gamveta 14), some 5 mins from the hotel. In the "tourist trap" zone, reasonable prices and unbeattable view had Antica Restaurant & Cafe (Adrianoy 25).

The location is superb as the hotel is close to all main tourist attractions. Omonia has a bad reputation in terms of safety mainly due to drug-related topics (read articles and watched many YouTube videos as it was my first trip to Athens). However, the Hotel surroundings are well-lit, busy and safe. So no need to get paranoid for safety. I think all hotel rooms face the main road so you would hear traffic noises all day. But the night traffic was soft enough to sleep peacefully and comfortably (maybe the situation could change during peak season). The reception is open 24*7 and has very supportive staff. The bathroom may not look modern and attractive but it is fully functional.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was central and convenient, as it had the metro, currency exchange and attractions a short walk away. The room had a balcony, reliable wi-fi, personal fridge and the room was serviced when requested.

The location in relation to Plaka, Monstaraki and Psiri precincts and all archeological sites is close enough for a short walk. The hotel facilities were nice and simple. A bigger shower than most and quite comfortable beds with a nice balcony view of the city. Good Air Conditioning for each room we stayed in.

For a 3 star hotel it’s great. No fancy frills but excellent value for money. 4 min walk to Omonia Metro train station. Airport link on metro. Central to everything - Plaka, Acropolis Museum, The Acropolis, Flea Market. Can get everywhere on the train. Simple to use. I got a 3 day metro pass for 20 EUR and went everywhere on it including my first metro I took (Airport to Omonia stn). Loved it. As a solo female 62 yr old - it was safe, had best coffee on the corner at the elaborate historic bakery and cake shop ATTICA. The Acropolis is 3 stops away on metro. So easy. Breakfast is simple but ample . Breakfast is Greek yogurt, cheeses, ham slices, tons of olives, (average coffee and average juice NOT). Pastries (but I don’t eat those) they looked decent. Very old fashioned breakfast room . A library of books 5 th floor - Greek language. Very nice staff. Perfect English. Very helpful. I Would recommend it for the price value. Clean and AC works well. The balcony is nice . I did yoga out there every morning . It’s definately 3 star old fashioned but very good choice .
